Gregory K. Markham
Attorney Gregory K. Markham has been practicing law in Hawaii for over 37 years. With a focus on insurance defense, under many types of policies, coverage subrogation and other business and commercial litigation. Mr. Markham is a partner in the Chee Markham & Kato law firm. Martindale-Hubbell, the national directory of attorneys, has recognized Mr. Markham with an AV Preeminent rating for possessing the highest possible standards of professionalism and ethics in the legal community. Mr. Markham has been selected by Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers as one of the top attorneys in the U.S. and Hawaii.
After graduating cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Mr. Markham earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado Law School in 1983. Mr. Markham has been admitted to practice in Hawaii, the U.S. District Court for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Markham is an active member in a number of legal associations, including the Hawaii State Bar Association (President 2015), the American Bar Association, Hawaii Super Lawyers and Outstanding Lawyers in America.
Mr. Markham is a lecturer at Kapiolani Community College in the area of torts, interviewing, negotiation and advocacy and a lecturer at the University of Hawaii, West Oahu in the area of Risk Management and Insurance. Mr. Markham was past President to the Board of the Hawaii Justice Foundation and a commissioner on the Access to Justice Commission. He has significant civil litigation experience in a wide variety of practice areas, including coverage analysis, personal injury, property damage, subrogation, products liability and construction law disputes.

Anthony L. Wong

Anthony L. Wong
Anthony L. Wong obtained his law degree from the University of California at Davis in 1992. He was subsequently admitted to the California Bar, and commenced a law practice in California which included work in the areas of bankruptcy, personal injury litigation, and business litigation.
In 1993, he was admitted to the Hawaiʻi Bar and the State Bar of California. He was a member of the 1991 Jessup Moot Court Team for his law school, and a participant in the 1991 Davis Moot Court Competition.
In addition, Mr. Wong participated in his school's trial advocacy program. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa. He remains a member in good standing of both the California and Hawaiʻi bars.
Mr. Wong is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Hawaiʻi, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. His background includes experience in retail management, and real estate sales and marketing with one of the largest real estate companies in Hawaiʻi.
Presently, his practice includes the areas of personal injury law, defense of real property litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, and defense of first party claims in administrative hearings. In addition, he has successfully briefed legal appeals in cases before the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals, The Hawaii Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit covering a wide range of issues in cases such as Molinar v. Schweitzer (Hawaii Supreme Court), State of Hawaii v. Quinn (Intermediate Court of Appeals), Simpkins v. AOAO Lakeview (Intermediate Court of Appeals) and Deguchi v. Allstate Insurance Company (Ninth Circuit).

Tara A. Buckley

Tara A. Buckley
Tara Buckley is licensed to practice law in the State of Hawaiʻi, the United States District Court of the District of Hawaiʻi, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Hawaiʻi State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. She is also the President of Hawaiʻi Women Lawyers as of July 1, 2023, a 2023 HSBA Leadership Institute Fellow, and a 2023 Pacific Business News 40 Under 40 Honoree.
Tara Buckley received her Bachelor's in Psychology and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa. After working within the field of social work for eight years, she went on to obtain her law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law. Prior to joining Chee Markham & Kato in September 2020, Tara clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey P. Crabtree at the Circuit Court of the First Circuit. She has also worked for the Legal Aid Society of Hawaiʻi and completed legal externships for Hawaiian Electric Company, the Environmental Court, and the Honorable Sabrina S. McKenna of the Hawaiʻi Supreme Court.

Mr. Tsuchida has represented a broad range of insurance carriers and clients throughout his career, including DTRIC Insurance Company, Ltd., CHUBB, Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance, Allstate Insurance Company, USAA Property & Casualty Insurance, Travelers, State Farm Mutual, Zurich Insurance, and many others. He has also represented hotels, resorts, restaurants, and vendors across Hawaii, including the Kahala Hotel, Hyatt Regency, Maui Marriott, Kauai Marriott, California Pizza Kitchen, and Ulupalakua Ranch, among others. Mr. Tsuchida is a speaker at and contributing author to The Hawaii Motor Vehicle Collision Manual & American Bar Association TIPS Seminar, October 13, 1999.

Alexander P. Young received his Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. After returning to Hawaii and working as a legal assistant and bill drafter for the Hawaii State Senate, he went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 2025.
